Breadcrumb Navigation
Create breadcrumb navigation so your visitors can visually locate and move themselves around your website.
Breadcrumb navigation is a user interface element commonly used in websites and applications to provide a hierarchical pathway for easy navigation and orientation within a website's structure. It typically appears as a horizontal trail of clickable links, usually located near the top of the page or within a designated navigation bar.
Use a global tile for breadcrumbs, as follows:
- When you create or edit a global tile, click Insert Starter Block in the HTML toolbar.
- In the Choose Starter Code box, select Breadcrumb.
- Type a name to label your starter code.
- Click Save.
Save and Launch the tile to add it to layouts and pages (Layout Control Files [LCFs]).
While on an LCF, editors with access to page Properties can change the breadcrumb name and prevent it from being included.
