Manage Pages
While in Content > Pages, click a file's More Actions menu to see the file management dropdowns. Depending on your user level, not all of these actions are available.
The Edit menu contains options for editing the content and access settings of the file. The Review menu contains options for reviewing the file content. The Publish menu contains options for publishing the file. The File menu contains "Rename," "Move," "Copy," and "Move to Recycle Bin."
You can affect multiple files by clicking the file or folder checkbox. Click the "Select All" checkbox to select all visible files and move, copy, recycle, publish, or check out the files simultaneously.
Users levels 8 through 10 can use the following options (level 8 users can only affect files to which they have access):
RenameLink to this section
If you rename or copy an image and other images are modified with it, you're working with an image set. Image sets cannot be moved.
Click File > Rename and type in the file name field. Press Enter to commit your change or Esc to cancel.
Renaming a file changes its URL, affecting links to it on your site or external. If dependency manager is active, links to the renamed file in Modern Campus CMS don't break. The "Confirm Rename" box shows how many files in your site link to the one you're renaming; these files are republished with their last published version once you confirm the rename.
Renaming should not be used to change the extension of a file, as this can corrupt it.
MoveLink to this section
Click File > Move, navigate to your destination in the Modern Campus CMS folders, and click Move. You can also select file checkboxes and click Move in the list header or drag your file. Drag a file from Pages, or from the file navigation sidebar, and drop it in a new location. From the "Move or Copy" box, click Move.
Because file URLs in Modern Campus CMS are created from the file's location in the site structure, moving a file also changes its URL.
CopyLink to this section
Click File > Copy, navigate to the copy destination in your Modern Campus CMS folders, and click Copy. You can also select file checkboxes and click Copy in the list header or drag your file. Drag a file from Pages, or from the file navigation sidebar, and drop it in a new location. In the "Move or Copy" box, click Copy.
When copying a folder, you'll see additional "Folder link options" in the "Copy" box. Select the radio button "Update links to content within the copied folder" to create dependency tag links to the copied files in the navigation file contained in the new folder.
Select the radio button "Do not update links to content within the copied folder: Links will point back to original folder and files" to create dependency tag links back to the original files in the navigation file contained in the new folder.
Files can only be moved and copied within their site, and not across sites in the account.
